Karnival Mai Dagang 2016 aims to attract 25,000 crowd
World largest halal digital trade exchange DagangHalal plc debuts Karnival Mai Dagang 2016 touted with a difference to give children and family a fun and enlightening experience
Underlying the usual commercial activities of a carnival, the Karnival Mai Dagang 2016 offers entertainment components carefully selected to promote trading intelligence and savvy at the child and family level. It also invites government trade agencies like MATRADE to share their trade tools at the root of society – the child and family.
Performing the launch honours at Karnival Mai Dagang 2016 was MATRADE chairman Datuk Dr Noraini Ahmad in the presence of DagangHalal Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Ali Sabri Sani Abdullah, and its group chief marketing officer Nikole Mikhael Abdullah.
Collaborating with MaGIC Malaysia’s Grow-The-Goose enterprise, Usahawan Cilik teaches children good money habits and the basics of trading that shall bring them financial independence by the time they turn 18.
As part of DagangHalal’s corporate responsibility, 200 orphans are sponsored for KFC Chicky Fiesta meals, and some are selected to participate in the Usahawan Cilik programme.
Drawing the family crowd during December school holidays, the carnival presents Malaysia’s own Super Hero Adiwira Adiperkasa – a highly successful Made-In-Malaysia animation enterprise as well as Japan’s hugely popular GUNDAM robot accompanied by the immensely popular Didi & Friends – all coming together to impart a love for maths amongst children, and promote trading to youths and families.
The carnival also gives voice to young business entrepreneurs in the personal care, filming, and children education businesses, who shall share their trade wisdoms with university students.
The ever popular Ustaz Zamri Mantop of TV9 Mari Mengaji highlights trading as the noble profession of both the Prophet Muhammad and his beloved wife Khadijah Al-Kubra in his sermon entitled “Berdagang Adalah Profesi Mulia Dalam Islam” to his big fan following at the carnival.
Various exhibitors comprising mainly traders in the small and medium industries will add colour and excitement to visitors’ shopping experience – from curry paste to fashion, delectable prawn crackers to daging salai, puddings and perfumes, children’s toys and fun games, there is so much to see and sample.
The carnival is held for four consecutive days from 8th to 11th December at the Evolve Concept Mall, Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya from 10.00 am – 8.00 pm. Free parking of 3,000 car park bays and the Kelana Jaya LRT stop at the mall at Ara Damansara provide the added convenience to those desiring to attend.
