The Malaysian Insider’s persistent agenda to create racial and religious siege mindset

TMI likes to do this. Publish racial and religious news to divide us. They somehow have this hatred in them to challenge as many Muslims and malay traditions on a persistent systematic basis. They like to give a picture that many peaceful long held practices of Muslims being new practices to show we have become more extreme every other day. And they were willing to fabricate lies.

Legal practitioner Lukman Sheriff Alias tells us –

For example recently they blew up a story by some Muslims organization who has a strict view against any form of music to give impression that we Muslims have become intolerant again. But for muslims we know this view has been there for ages and there’s other views too. That’s why nasyid became popular for years already. But TMI doesn’t care and proceeded with an agenda to show we are extremists. Similarly with the coverage of our khutbah which I have touched recently.

The same applies to this issue. It’s a new challenge unlike before on MARA. See how they approach the subject matter. In the English article, it’s to create a siege mindset. It makes people upset. In The BM article, they approach it subtly with some slight humility. Just see how they use the word “parents” to give impression of many which was not substantiated. See too the use of the words “religious ban” and “gesa”; all these to give different connotation and feel,

In English:
Parents want end to religious ban in Sarawak Mara junior colleges

In BM:
Ibu bapa gesa MRSM di Sarawak benar pelajar bukan Islam amal agama mereka

This is also part of an increasing spin to pit bumi and bumi which has arisen of late.

I believe TMI have set up a line of racial and religious issues at least every other week. If you notice there’s no date when the parents actually complained. They probably have kept this story for a while. Most likely they chase the story rather than the other way around. They get the quote required so that it can be spun negatively. Really deplorable mindset this TMI and Jahabar have.

Feel free to share.
